Jakarta, 24 June 2010 - In response to the high market demand on life insurance investment linked (unit link) products in Indonesia, PT CIMB Sun Life (CIMB Sun Life) today launched Asuransi Cahaya Investa (Cahaya Investa), a regular premium unit link product designed to meet customers’ long term financial planning.
Cahaya Investa offers customers life insurance and investment benefits all in one product. The life insurance benefit provides financial protection to a customer’s family or beneficiary in the event of death. At the same time, the customer can make use of the investment benefit when they need it or upon policy maturity date.
Cahaya Investa also offers high flexibility in investment management. Customers can adjust their investment strategy by changing their portfolio whenever they need it, allowing them to align it with their changing financial goals and risk profile. The high flexibility of Cahaya Investa is made possible by the 4 types of funds behind this product, namely - CSL Link Ekuitas, CSL Link Ekuitas Syariah, CSL Link Berimbang and CSL Link Pasar Uang, which are designed to meet various customers’ risk profiles from conservative, moderate to high.

The Indonesian customers’ demand on unit link products has been phenomenal since the first time this type of product was launched in Indonesia in 1999. In 2009, unit link products remain the product of choice in Indonesia as shown by the growth of its total premium to Rp21.5 trillion, a 55.22% increase compared to 2008.
