Jakarta, 09 February 2012 – Over the past five years, we’ve seen life insurance investment linked products (unit linked) dominate the life insurance Indonesian market. During that time period,  the average growth in unit linked investments was over 40%.* In response to the high demand for unit linked products, PT CIMB Sun Life (CIMB Sun Life) – a life insurance joint venture company between CIMB Group, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (Bank CIMB Niaga) and Sun Life Financial Inc. -  today launched Asuransi X-Tra Optima (X-Tra Optima), a single premium unit linked product for Bank CIMB Niaga’s customers.

X-Tra Optima offers customers the benefits associated with both insurance and investment products.  The insurance benefit provides life protection giving the customer peace of mind that their loved ones will be provided for in the event of death. Meanwhile, customers of X-tra Optima also receive the added benefit associated with an investment where they will receive the available fund value at maturity date or at the end of policy contract. The investment benefit can also be enjoyed before maturity date or when the customer needs it.

In addition, X-Tra Optima also offers high flexibility for customers in managing their investments and in deciding the amount of their life insurance protection. Customers can adjust their investment strategy accordingly to their needs, whenever they want. There are four types of funds associated with X-tra Optima (CSL Link Ekuitas, CSL Link Ekuitas Syariah, CSL Link Berimbang and CSL Link Pasar Uang), which allow the product to meet various customers’ risk profiles from conservative, moderate to aggressive.
